JNVST 2016 Syllabus & Model Papers – Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya has conduct an entrance examination to the students who completed 5th class and get admission in to 6th class in Jawahara Navodaya Vidyalayas in India. The Admissions in JNVs are made through the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) and get admission in to Class VI. JNV Offers Central Board of Secondary Education to the students of Navodaya. Many Candidates were applied for the exam. Now they are preparing for the exam. Here we come forward and put all the details about the Jawahar Navodaya Entrance Test 2016 Syllabus details.
JNVST 2016 Exam Pattern
Every Year Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Entrance Test will be conducted by the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Samithi. This year this exam will be conducted on 09-01-2016. Many students were appeared for this exam. This exam consists of 100 questions for 100 marks. The maximum time duration for the exam is 2 hours i.e, 120 minutes. Each question carries 01 mark. The questions will be asked in 3 sections. They are Mental Ability Test, Arithmetic Test, Language Test.
JNVST 2016 Exam Syllabus
The main topics that are covered in the exam are divided in to 3 sections. Each sections are going to divided in to subsections. The details are given below.
Mental Ability Test:
This is the major important section in the exam. It consists of 50 questions for 50 marks. Candidate should complete this section with in 60 minutes. This is a non-verbal test. The questions are based on figures and diagrams. This section is dividing into 10 sub sections and each sub section consists of 5 questions. The sub section topics are Odd man out, Figure Matching, pattern Completion, Figure Series Completion, Analogy, Geometrical Figure Completion (Triangle, Square, circle), Mirror imaging, Punched hold Pattern images, Space visualization and Embedded Figure.
This is an arithmetic test deals mathematics subject. The main purpose of this test is to measure Candidates basic competencies in mathematics. There are 25 questions are asked in this section. This section will complete in only 30 minutes. The main topics are Number and numeric system, Four fundamental operations on whole number, Fractions and multiple including their properties, LCM and HCF of Numbers, Decimals and fundamental operations on them, Conversions of fractions to decimals and vice-versa, Applications of number in measure length, mass, capacity, time money etc. Distance, time and speed, Approximation of expressions, Simplifications of Numerical Expressions, Percentage and its applications, profit and loss, Simple interest and Perimeter, area and volume.
The main purpose of this test is to access reading comprehension of the candidate. This section consists of 3 passages. Each passage consists of 5 questions. In addition, there will be 10 questions on testing grammar skills of candidates.
General Instructions at the time of Examination:
1. Use Blue/Black ball point pens only to write Answer sheet. Pencil is prohibited.
2. Use English Numbers only.
3. Changes are not allowed, once you write the answer. So, make sure of correct answer and write it on answer sheet.
4. Write the answer with in the box only.
