Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (KTET) 2015
Teacher Eligibility Test known as TET is an Indian entrance examination for teachers. The test is mandatory for getting teaching jobs in government schools from Class 1 to Class 8. Paper 1 is meant for teachers opting for Class 1 to Class 5 and Paper 2 for Class 6 to Class 8. It is conducted by both Central government and State governments in India. Most states conduct their own TET. The test is conducted in order fulfill and achieve the goals of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act.

Separate test will be conducted to select teachers for
Category I (Lower Primary Classes),
Category II (Upper Primary Classes),
Category III (High School Classes), and
Category IV (for Language Teachers – Arabic, Hindi, Sanskrit, Urdu (up to UP classes), Specialist Teachers (Art & Crafts), and Physical Education Teachers.
KTET 2015 Exam Pattern
Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test 2015 notification was officially announced. Kerala Teachers Eligibility Test is organized once in a year. In this exam there are four papers in it. There are Paper 1 , Paper 2 , Paper 3 and Paper 4. KTET Paper is for candidates who wish to be teacher of class 1st to 5th and those candidates who want to be Teacher of class 6th to 8th, Are required to appear in Paper 2. If anyone wish to be eligible for both type of teacher jobs, then he/ she must appear and qualify in both papers of KTET Exam.
KTET 2015 Exam Categories
Category I: For lower primary classes
Category II: For upper primary classes
Category III: For high school classes
Category IV: For language teachers
Each Category has one paper and it will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) with five parts. Each Question carries one mark and there are total 150 questions are there.
1. Child Development and Pedagogy (relevant to age group 6-11) – 30 marks
2. Mathematics – 30 marks
3. Environmental Studies – 30 marks
4. Language I-Malayalam/Tamil/Kannada – 30 marks
5. Language II-English/Arabic – 30 marks
